Ms. Eveland has shown a consistent commitment to her community, to economic development, and to the business community, a commitment recognized by the community and her peers, including:

  • Public Advisory Committee of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board (2017-present) (Public Involvement Subcommittee and Equity and Sustainability Subcommittee) - the PAC provides community input to the BRTB in creating regional transportation plans with support from the Baltimore Metropolitan Council.  The Public Involvement Subcommittee is currently creating a community outreach program to include a transportation toolkit and a transportation leadership academy event.  The Equity Subcommittee is defining new organizational roles and working with BMC staff create a transportation-centric definition of “equity”.
  • Baltimore Good Neighbors Coalition, Co-Chair Community Outreach (2016-present).  The Coalition creates community-responsive legislative solutions for problem liquor outlets.
  • South Baltimore 7 (2016-present).  The SB7 is a unique and innovative public private partnership between Sagamore Development/Port Covington and the historically underserved communities adjacent to the Port Covington project.  The SB7 has created a novel small grant program to provide funding for resident-participatory community improvement projects.
  • Greater Baybrook Alliance (2015-present) (Steering Committee 2016-Present).  The GBA is a cross-jurisdictional community development alliance between the Baltimore City neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Curtis Bay and the Anne Arundel County neighborhood of Brooklyn Park.  The community and stakeholders created a vision and plan and are executing on the plan to achieve resident opportunity and economic development.
  • Masonville Citizens Advisory Committee (2017-present).  The Masonville CAC advises the Port of Baltimore on its Masonville Cove nature center and adjacent 130-acre dredge material site.  The CAC provides community input on ecological, transportation, and community issues for the Port.
  • Neighbor Ride, Inc. Board of Directors (2010 to 2016).  Neighbor Ride is a growing network of volunteer drivers and senior citizen passengers which creates practical, social, and economic opportunities for seniors and beneficial interactions for drivers.  To manage its phenomenal growth (now over 100,000 rides provided since its formation in 2004) Neighbor Ride created custom ride software but in order to keep pace with increased demand, has designed new more agile software platforms and been able to discover new funders available from NR's ability to relieve the burden on public transit systems.
